Happy Birthday

Tis done, and done well.  The transplant is over, now the recovery begins.  It was fast, rather like a dance; Jim, Jo (RN), Lab RN (forgive me, I can't remember your name, but thanks for the good work and the hug), three bags of new stem cells and me accompanied by some good music.

Jim is on the phone telling his mom that he now has a new birthday.  Then he gets lunch with chocolate cake (don't we all enjoy chocolate cake on our birthday?).
